Earth Images Foundation
An exotic terrane is a group of rocks that attaches itself to a tectonic plate and ends up at a new site, totally out of place from its origins. This PBS film traces the fascinating history of the mysterious rocks in the Hells Canyon region on the Oregon-Idaho border. Shot in Idaho, Oregon, Saipan, Hawaii, and British Columbia.
